Ronnie Ricketts is new OMB Chairman
PRESIDENT Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo named actor-producer Ronnie Ricketts to head the Optical Media Board (OMB) following the resignation of Edu Manzano last August.
The OMB, which is under the Office of the President, was created through the Republic Act No. 9239 or the Optical Media Act of 2003, which is tasked to the lead the campaign video piracy.
Manzano left his post to focus on his advocacy against child pornography and eventually prepare for his reported senatorial bid in 2010.
