On February 9, 2021 OMB agents conducted an inspection operation against a certain PAN XI TU in his business establishment in Makati City.
The Chinese businessman was found selling All-In-One computers, computer monitors, laptops, and SSDs without an OMB license. The total estimated amount of the items taken into preventive custody is Php1,579,400.00.
Engaging in business activities such as distribution and sale of storage devices without the appropriate license from OMB are violations under Republic Act No. 9239 otherwise known as the Optical Media Act of 2003. The owner, Pan Xi Tu, is facing administrative and criminal charges from the Optical Media Board for violations of R.A. No. 9239. #
